From Creepy Haunted House…to Welcome Home

Yep. This house looked a bit foreboding and grim. It needed a new life in the worst way!

But, it had really good bones. There was a lot to work with….the elevated entrance with ten steps to the front door created a great walk-up.

>> Mature landscaping softened the entire front exterior.

>> The existing exterior colors were exceptionally drab.

>> HOA rules for this area required homes to remain on a gray scale so they would blend into the natural, heavily wooded surroundings.

Benjamin Moore (my fav paint source) to the rescue! Exterior walls got a much richer charcoal gray. New trims were created to accentuate windows and doors. The trim was painted with a contrasting color (Ben again) making them pop with vibrancy.

A brand-new leaded glass front door (painted with my secret shade of “black”) completely transformed the original foreboding entrance allowing more welcoming sunlight to stream into the entry.
